Tajik Americans : ウィキペディア英語版 | Tajik Americans
Tajik Americans or Tajikstani Americans are American citizens of Tajik descent. Tajiks have emigrated to United States for various reasons, and live primarily in Virginia and New York. Several Tajik associations have established themselves successfully in the United States. One such organization is the American-Tajik Association, established in Brooklyn,〔(American-Tajik Association in Brooklyn, New York ).〕 whose goal is to unite the Tajik diaspora, giving them a forum to gather and celebrate their culture. 〔(American-Tajik Association )〕 In May of 2012 the Tajik American Cultural Association (TACA) was founded by some local volunteers Vladimir Fedorenko, Anvar Samadzoda, Akobir Akhmedov and Faridun Nazarov in Fairfax, Virginia as a non-profit, non-governmental, cultural, professional and educational organization. The mission of TACA is to promote and facilitate intercultural understanding and cooperation by organizing educational and cultural programs that focus on historical, economic, and social issues concerning the Tajik American community. 〔(American Tajik Cultural Association ) 〕 In addition, TACA strives to address the needs of the Tajik community in America while serving as an outlet that represents the rich culture and hospitality of the Tajik people. TACA believes that building cultural bridges among Tajik and American communities is highly needed and aims to promote further integration, encourage cooperation and establish close relations with other communities living in the United States. ==Notable Tajik-Americans==
